Welcome to Sip & Scone!
Hi! My name is Sofia Cadahia, MS, RDN. I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with a Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics. I have a post-graduate certification in Integrative Healthy Cooking from the Culinary Institute of Barcelona and am passionate about cooking, wellness, and all things food and nutrition! I hope to share my recipe creations and inspirations to help others achieve a balanced and healthy lifestyle.
A little bit about me
I come from a bicultural family and grew up in Madrid, Spain where I developed a profound appreciation for the art of home cooking, the Mediterranean diet, and the importance of socialization and mindfulness in our food culture. My love of food and nutrition stems from my experience living in one of the healthiest countries in the world and seeing first-hand the profound impact that diet and lifestyle has on health and happiness.
My passion for health and wellness continues to grow and every day I am fascinated and intrigued by the science of nutrition and the powerful impact that diet can have on disease prevention. I am thrilled to continue learning new skills as a nutrition professional and look forward to sharing my recipes in the hopes of inspiring others on their culinary journey!
Ever since I can remember, cooking has allowed me to connect with others, sharing not only the food itself but the stories and intentions behind a meal. My writing has provided me with an outlet to share these stories and hopefully build bridges connecting people and cultures through the simplicity and joy of healthy eating.
I believe that healthy food can be simple, affordable, and delicious. I am a strong believer in eating more plants for our own health and the health of our planet and hope to share recipes and tips on how to introduce more plant-based meals into our diets.
